Presenting Emma van de Schoor: master student
More and more students dig into voluntourism. How do you go about something like that? Today we present one of them: Emma van de Schoor. She will write for us about her research.
Emma van de Schoor received her bachelor degree in History and currently undertakes a masters degree in Human Geography with the specialization Globalisation, Migration and Development at the Radboud University Nijmegen.
As Emma became interested in voluntourism, she noticed that no-one took it upon them to look at what the local project colleagues think about their visiting volunteer colleagues.
Currently, Emma is based in Durban, South Africa to research exactly that question and shares her experiences with Volunteer Correct. Her first contribution is soon expected here.
